🇲🇽 MIT: La primera semana de transformación — no solo tecnología

Quizá lo sepas… o quizá no 😄

Pero gracias a Alfasigma México y al impulso y confianza de mis líderes, hoy tengo la oportunidad de cursar una especialización de un año en el MIT Professional Education para graduarme como Chief Digital Officer. Sí… ¡en el MIT! 🎓 Un sueño que hoy se hizo realidad, y que está cambiando por completo mi forma de ver el liderazgo, la innovación y la transformación digital.

🌍 La primera semana: transformación, no solo tecnología

La experiencia en el MIT Professional Education – Chief Digital Officer Program ha sido profundamente inspiradora. Compartir la primera semana con colegas de todo el mundo —cada uno con trayectorias brillantes— y aprender de profesores con un conocimiento transformador, me confirmó que este viaje no trata de tecnología, sino de transformación.

En tiempos de tanta incertidumbre global, una idea resonó con fuerza:

“La historia, tal como la conocíamos, ya terminó. Hoy la estamos escribiendo.”

Y escribirla nos exige abrir la mente, aprender a desaprender y formar nuevas generaciones con propósito y sostenibilidad.

🚀 Liderazgo en la era de la imaginación

Estamos dejando atrás la Era de la Información para entrar en la Era de la Imaginación. Una era donde el liderazgo se mide por la capacidad de inspirar confianza, empoderar a los equipos y atreverse a crear sin miedo al error.

El MIT nos presentó el concepto de los X-Teams: líderes con una mirada de helicóptero (estratégica e integral) pero con los pies en la tierra, cerca de la gente, escuchando y entendiendo lo que realmente necesita.

Ser un X-Team significa mirar hacia afuera (Out–IN) para explorar el mundo, pero también trabajar unidos (Together–Apart) para generar impacto real.

En mi empresa, esta visión ya vive. Nos impulsa a innovar constantemente, sin estructuras rígidas y con la certeza de que las mejores soluciones se diseñan con la gente, no para la gente.

Porque como aprendimos en Cambridge, Massachusetts:

“La mayoría de las soluciones fracasan porque resuelven un problema que nadie tenía.”

🎨 El diseño como catalizador de la transformación

El MIT nos recordó que la verdadera transformación no ocurre al añadir tecnología, sino al rediseñar procesos. Las organizaciones que colocan el diseño al centro son el doble de propensas a innovar. Y hoy, ese diseño se encuentra con la inteligencia artificial.

El futuro no está en la IA sola, sino en cómo la integramos con ética, trazabilidad y propósito humano:

• Estructura y trazabilidad: LLMs como copilotos inteligentes que traducen la intención en acción.

• Transparencia y ética: IA verificable, confiable y auditable, sin cajas negras.

• Criterio humano: La IA amplifica nuestro cerebro, pero no reemplaza el pensamiento crítico ni la empatía.

La inteligencia artificial no sustituye al humano: lo expande.

💡 La transformación empieza en uno mismo

Durante esta primera semana, confirmé que la verdadera innovación ocurre cuando te atreves a pensar distinto, a expresarte con empatía y a actuar con propósito.

Tuve la oportunidad de presentar mi pitch personal como entrenamiento ante mis colegas del MIT, y quiero agradecer nuevamente a mi equipo Impact 6, que me grabó, me fotografió y me aplaudió con entusiasmo.

💪📸 ¡Gracias! Esta experiencia estoy segura que marcará un antes y un después en mi carrera y en mi forma de liderar (pronto compartiré más 😉).

El viaje apenas comienza, pero la dirección es clara:

Thanks to Alfasigma Mexico and the trust of my leaders, I’m currently pursuing a one-year specialization at MIT Professional Education to become a Chief Digital Officer. Yes… at MIT! 🎓 A dream come true — one that’s transforming the way I see leadership, innovation, and digital transformation.

🌍 The First Week: Transformation, Not Just Technology

The MIT Professional Education – Chief Digital Officer Program has been profoundly inspiring. Sharing the first week with colleagues from all over the world —each with brilliant trajectories— and learning from professors with transformative insight confirmed that this journey is not about technology, but about transformation.

In a world filled with uncertainty, one message stood out:

“The history we knew is over. Today, we’re writing the new one.”

And writing it requires an open mind, the courage to unlearn, and the commitment to educate new generations with purpose and sustainability.

🚀 Leadership in the Age of Imagination

We are leaving behind the Information Age to enter the Age of Imagination. An era where leadership is defined by the ability to inspire trust, empower teams, and create fearlessly.

MIT introduced us to the concept of X-Teams: leaders who keep a helicopter view (strategic and integral) while staying close to people, listening and understanding what they truly need.

Being an X-Team means looking outward (Out–IN) to explore the world, while working together (Together–Apart) to create meaningful impact.

At my company, this mindset already thrives. It drives us to innovate continuously, without rigid structures, and with the conviction that the best solutions are designed with people, not for people.

As we learned in Cambridge, Massachusetts:

“Most solutions fail because they solve a problem no one actually had.”

🎨 Design as a Catalyst for Transformation

MIT reminded us that true transformation doesn’t happen by adding technology, but by redesigning processes. Organizations that place design at the center are twice as likely to innovate. And today, that design meets artificial intelligence.

The future doesn’t lie in AI alone, but in how we integrate it with ethics, traceability, and human purpose:

• Structure and Traceability: LLMs as intelligent copilots translating intent into action.

• Transparency and Ethics: AI that is verifiable, trustworthy, and auditable — no black boxes.

• Human Judgment: AI amplifies our brains but never replaces critical thinking or empathy.

Artificial intelligence doesn’t replace humans — it expands them.

💡 Transformation Starts Within

This first week taught me that true innovation happens when you dare to think differently, express yourself with empathy, and act with purpose.

I had the opportunity to present my personal pitch to my MIT colleagues, and I want to thank my Impact 6 team for recording, photographing, and cheering me on 💪📸 Thank you! That experience is giving me a before and after in my career and leadership journey (more on that soon 😉).

The journey has just begun, but the direction is clear:
